What you can expect as the Senior Threat Intelligence Specialist at Fortress…
The Senior Threat Intelligence Specialist will be the first level of critical support to ensure the identification of cybersecurity-based incidents in the industry on a continuous basis, including breaches, threats, and exploitable vulnerabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage documented methods/procedures to produce an initial assessment for identified incidents by validating open-source information across various sources.

Once the initial assessment is completed, you will be expected to critically evaluate and identify any risks discovered in the incident. Additionally, you will define and/or document new or improved methods/procedures during the quality control phase with your team. The ultimate deliverable will be to assess the risk of the designated vendors while anticipating, recognizing, reporting, resolving disparities with your team members and finally create a professional write-up based on your assessment findings.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Open-source research and search engine optimization.
  • Evaluation of security incidents while providing analysis of risks associated.
  • Review assessments and conduct quality benchmarks on results from monitored websites.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers on reported incidents.
  • Analyze and enhance the creation and delivery processes for security and content verification.
  • Continually develop technical skills to support.
  • Own the creation of delivery process documentation.
  • Support internal tool testing efforts for regularly scheduled deployments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of open-source research, python, and cybersecurity continual intelligence analysis (Does not need to be in an intelligence agency context).
  • Knowledge in SQL, Python, and OSINT Tools and Techniques.
  • Experience in data management.
  • Ability to research and analyze open-source information.
  • Critical thinking and analysis.
  • Enhanced knowledge of cybersecurity.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to independently use and refine AI-driven prompts to enhance the quality, efficiency, and insight of regular work processes.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certification in cybersecurity or completion of a cybersecurity bootcamp.
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., CySA+, Security+) preferred.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
