The Independent Contractor will manage oversight of a property repair claim ensuring all Service Level Agreements and customer service expectations are met. This is a 1099 independent contractor role. You will be responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and benefits.

HOMEE is a tech-enabled managed repair network specializing in property repair claims. At HOMEE, we are focused on bringing new solutions and processes to the claims repair space to help policyholders return to normal faster.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with contractors, homeowners, carriers/adjusters, and vendors throughout the repair process

• Review claim assignments to ensure all milestones and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met

• Monitor and track the status of assignments ensuring timely follow-up

• Document all customer interactions and claim details in the company’s Claim Management System to ensure accurate record-keeping

• Manage and process repair invoices and payments

• Assist in identifying, preventing, and handling escalated issues, particularly in a property claim repair context

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure consistent application of repair and workmanship standards

• Conduct audits and quality reviews on claim files

Requirements:

• 3+ years of property claim handling experience. Adjusting experience with residential, commercial, large loss and complex property claims is preferred

• Strong knowledge of property claims repair processes is required

• Experience in property repairs estimate writing and review is preferred

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in using technology (computer, phone, and email)

• Experience with Verisk (Xactimate and XactAnalysis) and CoreLogic (Symbility, Workspace) products is required

• Industry certifications such as IICRC, HAAG, and CPCU is preferred

• Experience with both daily and Cat claims is preferred
