Description

As the last employee that our Guests will see before departing the airport, the Boarding Representative is responsible for an efficient and organized vehicle boarding process. The Boarding Representative is responsible for the maintenance of the load zone area, while interacting with our Guests and keeping our Drivers and Dispatchers informed. Responsibilities include:

  • Welcomes our Guests in the load zone waiting areas and announces the names and hotels that will now be boarding and the bus slot they are going to.
  • Escorts the parties out to the vehicle and hands Guests off to the Driver.
  • Advises the driver of the hotel destinations and if there is an express service onboard.
  • Maintains the appearance of the load zone area; removes left behind luggage carts, wheelchairs, etc.
  • Monitors for approaching Guests and prevents people from boarding a vehicle without properly checking in.
  • Advises the Dispatcher of arriving vehicles and the bus slot parked in.
  • Assists Drivers as the back out of the bus slots.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Disney/Lake Buena Vista Resort areas preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred

SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain calm, pleasant, and poised under high-pressure situations
  • Must be able to work flexible hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work is performed in various environmental conditions
  • Must be able to read and understand program scheduling reports and other related materials
  • Must be able to communicate by telephone, 2-way radio, or in person, in clear fluent English, in a courteous friendly and professional manner, with clients, guests, co-workers and industry related personnel
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and follow company regulations regarding dress code, attendance requirements and behavior
  • Must be able to utilize a reliable mode of transportation to get to and from the Orlando International Airport
