National Sales Director – Surgical

Reports To: President of Sales

Position Summary

The National Sales Director – Surgical is responsible for supporting the execution, growth, and expansion of Advanced Solution’s national surgical-focused commercial organization. This leadership role works directly with the President of Sales to drive sales performance, strengthen customer and distributor relationships, support field execution, and assist with continued growth across surgical accounts, operating room settings, hospital outpatient departments, physician practices, and strategic commercial channels.

This role is highly focused on surgical sales growth. Surgical experience, operating room knowledge, and established relationships within surgical, hospital, HOPD, ASC, physician, distributor, or related healthcare channels are strongly preferred.

The National Sales Director – Surgical will oversee regional sales performance, support onboarding and development of distributors and independent representatives, assist with strategic account growth, and help maintain alignment across sales operations, reimbursement, customer engagement, operations, and executive leadership teams.

This individual must bring a builder mentality and player-coach leadership style. The ideal candidate is comfortable building structure while also staying close to the field, coaching representatives, supporting key customer conversations, helping open doors, and leading by example.

This role is expected to foster strong relationships throughout the organization and help ensure consistent execution, accountability, communication, and customer support across Advanced Solution’s national sales organization.

Core Responsibilities

Support execution of company-wide sales strategy and commercial growth initiatives, with a primary focus on surgical sales channels, surgical accounts, HOPDs, ASCs, operating room opportunities, physician practices, and strategic commercial partners.

Report directly to the President of Sales and assist with leadership, development, and oversight of national sales operations.

Support and manage relationships with distributors, independent representatives, strategic accounts, surgeons, physician practices, surgical facilities, hospital outpatient departments, and commercial partners.

Leverage surgical knowledge, field relationships, and market understanding to identify growth opportunities and strengthen Advanced Solution’s presence in surgical and procedure-based care settings.

Assist with onboarding, development, accountability, and ongoing support of distributors and sales representatives.

Act as a player-coach by supporting field execution, coaching sales representatives, participating in key customer conversations, and helping representatives develop stronger sales discipline, product knowledge, and account strategy.

Drive revenue growth and support market expansion initiatives across targeted regions, surgical channels, and product lines.

Help build structure, process, accountability, and repeatable sales execution across a growing national sales organization.

Assist with reimbursement, operations, customer engagement, logistics, finance, compliance, and executive leadership teams to improve commercial execution and customer experience.

Assist with implementation and communication of sales initiatives, operational updates, reimbursement changes, product launches, and organizational objectives.

Support product launches, commercialization efforts, surgical market development, and strategic growth opportunities.

Help maintain visibility surrounding sales performance, pipeline activity, forecasting, field activity, and KPI accountability.

Assist with development and execution of sales training, product education, surgical field communication, and distributor education initiatives.

Support issue resolution and operational coordination between the field, leadership, customers, distributors, and internal departments.

Foster strong relationships across Advanced Solution’s national sales channels while maintaining professionalism, responsiveness, urgency, and operational consistency.

Travel nationally as needed to support customer relationships, surgical field initiatives, conferences, trainings, distributor development, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

Leadership experience within healthcare, medical device, surgical sales, biologics, wound care, pharmaceuticals, or related healthcare industries preferred.

Surgical sales experience, operating room exposure, and/or established relationships within surgical, HOPD, ASC, hospital, physician, or distributor channels are strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of healthcare sales operations, distributor networks, surgical account development, physician office sales, and strategic account management.

Proven ability to lead teams, develop relationships, support commercial growth initiatives, and drive accountability across a field-based sales organization.

Builder mentality with the ability to create structure, improve process, support scale, and operate effectively in a fast-growing organization.

Player-coach leadership style with willingness to lead from the front, support field execution, coach representatives, and participate directly in strategic customer development.

Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with urgency, professionalism, and adaptability.

Experience working cross-functionally with operations, reimbursement, customer engagement, compliance, finance, and executive leadership teams.

Willingness to travel nationally as required.
