POSITION SUMMARY

As a Staff DevOps Engineer at Recuro Health, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining our telehealth solutions. This DevOps role works closely with Software Engineering teams to speed deployment velocity, implement secure integrations between applications, internal platforms and third-party solutions, and supports engineering efforts on key projects by contributing to feature work and reviewing relevant pull requests. Your work ensures our products meet the highest standards in performance, security, and reliability.

The position is hybrid/ remote with at least 1-2 days in office each week to work directly with our Engineering Team in our Minneapolis, MN office.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze requirements, consult on system architecture, and support platform integrations for new and existing software projects.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to implement best practices for code deployment, security, monitoring, observability, and reliability. Support the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to automate builds and streamline deployments.
  • Collaborate on the development, maintenance, and optimization of server-side applications and services.
  • Enhance security measures by working with security teams to improve access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Conduct code reviews, providing feedback to improve security, reliability, and design.
  • Assist in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and stability.
  • Document code, system architecture, and processes to improve maintainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Contribute to projects focused on modernizing legacy systems to meet current industry standards.
Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Expertise with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and working with containerized applications
  • Expertise working with support infrastructure including API Gateways, Docker containers, cloud computing resources, caching systems, etc.
  • Expertise with object-oriented languages such as Go, .NET Core, Java
  • Expertise working with Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL
  • Proficiency with security concepts and frameworks like public key cryptography, OAuth, TLS, OWASP, etc.
  • Experience working with microservice architectures
  • Experience with infrastructure as code concepts and tooling like Terraform
  • Experience supporting DevOps culture and best practices across the organization
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of telehealth and healthcare software applications including health information standards like HL7 or FHIR
  • Understanding of Healthcare Technology Standards and Regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.)
  • Experience working with Identity-as-a-Service platforms
