ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with CSI’s/Spark policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and regulations.
- Providing compassionate care for children aged 0-21, including assisting with daily living activities and helping with transportation needs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility, including transfers and positioning)
- Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Observing and documenting children's behaviors, mood, and any health concerns, reporting information to nurses or other relevant staff.
- Engaging children in educational and developmental activities, making a significant contribution to their growth and potential.
- Delivering excellent customer service to both the children and their families, ensuring a positive nurturing and supportive environment.
- Implement lesson plans as outlined in the curriculum handbook
- Provide age-appropriate tools and resources that foster exploration, creativity, and cognitive development during learning and play activities for minors.
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to cater to the individual interests and learning styles of minors, promoting inclusive and effective instruction.
- Maintain an organized inventory system for PPEC learning materials and supplies.
- Facilitate engaging and stimulating activities for children, including songs, games, and storytelling.
- Support children's growth and development by encouraging them to reach their developmental milestones, providing individualized guidance and support.
- Adhere to the established activity schedule.
- Collaborate effectively with staff to implement lesson plans, including providing training and guidance to ensure seamless continuity during absences.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, providing updates on children's activities and progress throughout the day.
- Document children's progress, tracking their development and providing detailed reports to parents during quarterly person-centered care meetings.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Completion of CNA program.
- One (1) year of professional experience in the care of infants and toddlers. Note: You will have to provide employment references documenting skills in the care of infants or children.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Current CNA license is required for the state for which work is performed.
- BLS Certification is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of home healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable about the developmental stages of children and tailor their care accordingly.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical demands of the position may include standing, walking, lifting, and carrying objects or clients, and performing various patient care activities.

This non-traditional role blends aspects of medical care, childcare, and teaching, making it a uniquely rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about pediatric care.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:This role is based in a dynamic, fast-paced medical daycare setting that can be quite busy and at times chaotic. The nature of the environment requires an individual who can maintain calmness and professionalism under pressure. Moderate noise levels are to be expected due to active care and engagement with children. It's important that the successful candidate can effectively adapt to these conditions while continuously providing high-quality care to our patients.
